Striking chlorite phantoms highlight this very aesthetic and sculptural old-time plate of intergrown, glassy, sharply terminated quartz points from the historic St Gotthard Massif. Combination quartz with chlorite specimens of this quality are very uncommon and highly desirable from here. An impressive and nearly pristine 360-degree specimen with only trivial termination edge wear to the dominating large 4.3 cm crystal. From an East Coast collection and comes with a faded, lightly torn century-old label. A Swiss classic.
