Item Description

A classic, excellent and RARE miniature from the famous Blanchard Mine. Sparkly anglesite microcrystals have pseudomorphed a pristine, sharp, floater, doubly terminated elongated galena crystal. One end is dramatically accented with a "cap" of quartz crystals, adding real pizzazz. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 12147 and acquired from The Rocksmiths at Culver City in 1990. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A RARE choice pseudomorph from the Sunshine No. 1 adit. MINDAT lists anglesite for the adit, but there are NO examples in the Photo Gallery. A MUST for the Blanchard or species collector!
