Manganoan Calcite (2017 find - fluorescent!)

A striking, stepped, tabluar manganoan calcite "smokestack" from a 2017 find at this now famous mine. The terminated, very sharp hexagonal, lustrous, translucent, pretty pastel-pink crystals are accented with lighter pink terminations, adding character. Very interestingly, the large crystal is slightly bent and the "wing" at the base adds character to the satin lustre of the piece. Complete all-around. The slightly cleaved edge to the upper termination is certainly only a modest detraction to this excellent 360-degree example of the find and striking varietal. Striking neon-orange fluorescence.
