Item Description

Classic, excellent, old-time combination material from a historic French locale - Allevard, Rhone-Alpes. Sharp, lustrous, translucent, yellow-green, siderite rhombs, to 2.0 cm, are very aesthetically set atop the mounded miniature matrix. A stunning 3.7 cm doubly terminated bowtie of terminated quartz crystals is a super and typical accessory. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7842 and acquired from the Lidstroms at the MSSC Show in 1975. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). An exceptional combination from this well-known locale.
