Item Description

A colorful and very rich large combination ore specimen from this abandoned open pit copper mine. Dark blue and powder-blue shattuckite cover all the faces of this sculptural two-sided piece. Shattuckite is a rare Cu-silicate named after the Shattuckite Mine at Bisbee, the Type Locality. A smaller edge face is covered with green malachite, as a fine contrast and accessory. Specimens of this size, combination and style are uncommon from here and this is exceptional example. Ex David Burgess Collection.
