Azurite & Malachite

Item Description

A very rich and aesthetic 3-dimensional azurite and malachite specimen from famed Tsumeb. The very sculptural vuggy crust is dramatically filled with lustrous to matte-finish, royal-blue to navy blue azurite crystals and malachite pseudomorphs after azurite crystals, to 1.3 cm. The color contrast adds pizzazz to this showy piece and electric-blue color is noted under bright light. The hole in the bottom of the piece adds character. Probably classic older material from the Upper Oxidized Zone, but no proof. The piece displays very well without aid.
