This remarkable large rolling plate hosts over 40 isolated sharp, mirror-bright brassy pyrite cubes, to 1.4 cm. This is a dramatic, rich and sculptural large pyrite crystal plate from Spain. Pyrites from Navajun are one of the most easily recognizeable and iconic display specimens in the world. They are highly attractive, and arguably the finest crystallized representations of the species. This locality is mined almost exclusively for its pyrite crystals, which are world famous and well known among collectors. Note that in the process of excavation, some of the crystals came off the matrix and are thus reattached (as is the case on this piece). This is definitely a superior piece of above average quality, that you would generally see at wholesale. The crystal isolation is noteworthy and the piece has multiple display views.
