Item Description

Classic and very showy intergrown color-zoned fluorite cubes with a surprise from the famous Annabel Lee Mine. The rich golden-amber interiors of the glassy, translucent crystals are surrounded by striking sharp purple and blue edge phantoms and enhanced by the surreal dense stepped-growth faces. The SURPRISE comes under LW UV light. Here you see yellow-white hydrocarbon fluorescence in only the outer portions of the crystals with the interiors being purple. You can also see dead black hydrocarbon (bitumen) on one face. This excellent, aesthetic and colorful fluorite has several fine display views. Fairly valued at $700-900.
