A very sculptural and colorful sliced and polished fan-shaped section of a large rhodochrosite stalactite from the famous late 1980s finds at the Capillitas Mine. The striking segmented fan-shaped radiating pattern of the pretty rich rose-red to pastel-pink banded rhodo along with the jagged crenellated outer rind impart a very artistic aspect to this very showy and classic large two-sided example of this rhodo varietal and noted find.
