Item Description

Libethenite is a rare Cu-phosphate and specimens of this richness are uncommon from this well-known large open pit New Mexico copper mine. Spherical nubby aggregates of tiny lustrous, translucent emerald-green crystals cover the front of the 3-dimensional sculptural small cabinet matrix. There is more libethenite on the back, as a bonus. Excellent, rich and rare libethenite from the Allen Dillwith Collection. It is illustrated in the MINDAT locality Photo Gallery with a January, 2007 photo by Darren Court.
