Item Description

Afton Canyon and the Felix Mine in Azusa are the only two California localities that produce green and octahedral fluorites. Pretty mint-green, intergrown, translucent fluorite octahedrons, to 2.0 cm, with satin luster faces covers most of this showy, excellent and unusual small cabinet plate. Part of the plate has a lavender hue, which is unusual and striking. Fluorite specimens are uncommon from this obscure California deposit. Purple fluorescence. Excellent and colorful bi-colored fluorite from the Allen Dillwith Collection of Texas.
