Item Description

This material was some of the first Augelite to come out of Bolivia in a long time when it hit the market in the early 2000's. This piece features several sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy crystals measuring up to 9 mm! of Augelite associated with greenish-brown compressed rhombohedra of Siderite with lustrous modified octahedral Pyrite on micro Quartz matrix. This is definitely one of the largest specimens of Augelite I've seen from Tasna, as many of them are very small. It also features one of the largest individual crystals of Augelite that I've seen from this locality. It's a very good quality piece for the species, and the associations make it very desirable for collectors. If you're a Bolivian mineral collector, do not pass this one up, because it's a very worthwhile Augelite from Tasna. Valued at $1,250 for specimen and crystal size along with the overall quality.
