Item Description

Wulfenite is RARE from this well-known Mexican mine, noted for outstanding vanadinite specimens. This exceptional minature hosts aesthetically set VERY RARE bipyramidal crystals. The lustrous, translucent sharply terminated caramel-colored crystals reach 1.0 cm on this cutie. The specimen is possibly from the Erupcion Mine at Los Lamentos. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 4966 and acquired from fellow prominent California collector, Marion Godshaw, at the Tucson Show in the late 1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Specimens came out in the 1950s to 70s, with none since. See the excellent article on the San Carlos Mine in the November-December, 2008 Mineralogical Record, Vol. 39, No. 6.
