An outstanding, sculptural and pristine floater pseudomorph from Arkansas' famous Magnet Cove. Lustrous, mottled reddish-brown rutile has replaced a complex sharp pyramidal pseudohexagonal brookite crystal. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 5834 and acquired from Al McGuinness in the late 1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). An exceptional and uncommon in this style 360-degree pseudo from this locale.
