It's amazing what a little chromium can do. For all the colors of Tourmaline in the world, the intense green hue in this crystal is about as strong as a Chrome Tourmaline can be. The crystal, which is fairly complex with a multi-crystallized termination, is very rather sharp, with superb luster and beautiful trigonal form. When backlit, the color is very intense. There is a small contact where the prism meets the pyramidal faces, but overall the piece is in super shape and looks beautiful from several angles. Another important aspect of the specimen is that it has green color THROUGHOUT, and doesn't show brown or yellow zoning that some people will try to pass off as chromium-bearing. The color is nearly impossible to accurately reproduce in the photos, but if you've ever seen one of these rare and beautiful crystals in person, you know how amazing the color can be.
