Chalcosiderite (old classic) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A very nice old specimen of this hard to find hydrated copper iron phosphate from the type locality in Cornwall. The piece features fine quality, vitreous, rich green colored, layered "rosettes" of Chalcosiderite on matrix. Very attractive up close, and certainly worth picking up if you collect Cornish minerals or species from the type locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5185). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
