Phurcalite (rare) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A rarely seen specimen of the hydrated copper uranium phosphate Phurcalite from one of the most well-known localities for the species. This piece features micro bright yellow colored acicular patches of Phurcalite associated with minor micro green Brochantite on matrix. Very hard to find on the market, and certainly sought after from the Posey Mine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12567). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
