Item Description

A wonderful and rarely seen specimen of the beautiful Cyanotrichites from the Vieja Mine in Atacama Desert of Chile. Gorgeous electric blue colored radial "sprays" of Cyanotrichite comprising acicular needles are associated with complimenting green Malachite on matrix. We have photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. A great piece for any secondary mineral collector or a collector of minerals from Chile. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8679). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
