Ruby specimens are rare from this obscure Tanzania locale. This textbook, hexagonal, doubly terminated thumbnail crystal has pretty pinkish-red color, luster and moderate translucence. Scattered embedded graphite is a nice contrast and accessory. Bright red fluorescence, as you would expect. 34.93 carats or nearly 7 grams mass. Seldom on the market.
