Dramatic and sculptural realgar and calcite from this world-class arsenic deposit (realgar and orpiment), that has been mined for over 1500 years (MINDAT). Lustrous, translucent blocky, wine-red Cinnabar crystals, to 1.0 cm, are artistically scattered on the brecciated vertical matrix covered with two generations of calcite crystals. Bone-white, frosted rhombs are accented with much larger translucent, tan to brown rhombs with satin luster on the side and back. The Cinnabars GLOW with gorgeous cherry-red color, when backlit!
