Item Description

A very rich, showy and excellent two-sided combination rib from circa 2000 finds at this famous mine. Scintillating nubby clusters of tiny, lustrous, brown hubeite crystals (a Ca-Mn-Fe silicate, UNIQUE to the Fengjiashan Mine) cover one side of the plate and are nicely accented with columnals and sprays of burnt-orange inesite crystals, a similar silicate. The back is DRAMATICALLY different as it is covered with glassy, translucent, colorless, tetragonal apophyllite prisms to 3.0 cm! Ex Ted Bartels Collection. Hubeite and apophyllite combinations of this richness and quality are RARE. Very choice combination material. NOW IMPOSSIBLE to get on the market. valued $400-500
