Item Description

Patches and crusts of white brassite crystals are richly scattered on all sides of the sculptural matrix on this RARE and very fine specimen from ancient Jachymov, the Type Locality. Brassite is a very rare hydrated Mg-arsenate named in 1973. An important specimen with a fine provenance, as it was formerly in the Czech National Museum Collection in Prague. An exceptional, rich and rare example of the species from the Josef Vajdak Collection, a noted Czech specialist.
