Item Description

A very rich and colorful cut and polished specimen of solid shattuckite from the namesake Type Locality at Bisbee - the Shattuck Mine. Striking radial sprays of rich multi-hued blue shattuckite needles comprise this entire specimen. The sawed face is highly lustrous. The mine operated from 1909-1973. Specimens of this richness and quality are RARE from here and are highly desirable. A MUST for the Bisbee or species collector. 104 grams mass. A remarkable Bisbee shattuckite.
