Item Description

Scapolite is not a species, but is often assigned to gems as it is more recognizable to most collectors. The actual species are Meionite and Marialite. Nonetheless, Scapolite is typically found in either purple or yellow gems, but colorless examples are few and far between. It is a beautiful, essentially colorless stone with an "Oval Step" cut. A rare stone collector can certainly appreciate the rarity of a piece like this. Very slight inclusions, but how often does one see colorless Scapolite on the market? The stone also fluoresces a light peach-orange hue under SW UV light.
