Description:Almandine Garnets are some of the most vivid and beautiful gems in the Garnet family, plus they're harder to find than Grossular, Spessartine or Rhodolite. Almandines are beloved for their great red to purple-red color and larger sized stones. This gem is very attractive with a notably saturated red color, virtually eye clean clarity and a standard "Oval Brilliant" cut. A great opportunity for a Garnet to collector to add a nice Almandine gem to their collection. The stone was cut from a piece rough mined in the 1950s and brought back to the United States by Ed Swoboda.
