Item Description
There are many species of Feldspar in the world, but the vast majority of them are opaque, and very little gem material is available. One of the rarest gem Feldspars in the world is Bytownite. Years ago a small batch of gem grade Bytownite was found in Mexico, and we were able to scoop up several pieces of rough from an old collection, which we recently had faceted. This is an attractive, beautifully well cut, "straw" color "Quantum Round Brilliant" cut gemstone that is nearly eye clean. You won't find this kind of material in the inventories of most gem dealers, simply because they don't carry them, and to find a custom cut gem in this size is rare. If you collect rarities, don't miss out on this eye-catching natural stone.
