Item Description

Tektites belonging to the North American strewn field can be found in Texas (Bediasites) and rarely seen in gemstone form. This is a really cool "Oval Cabochon" gem of Americanite (which is a rhyolitic glass) and shows a very dark amber hue when backlit, but you need a strong light to see it. Rare on the market and certainly worth the starting bid!
