Item Description

The legendary 79 Mine has produced many great specimens, with a plethora of pseudomorphs among them. Chrysocolla after Hemimorphite is a well-known and sought-after specimen for the 79 Mine, and you can see the delicate, and quite fine, blue Chrysocolla covering and converting much of the matrix. Resting on the Chrysocolla are many cream-colored Cerussite crystals. Bladed and nicely formed, it is not unheard of for 79 Mine Cerussites to be pseudos themselves, as well as twinned and coated with Quartz. Variety is certainly the spice of 79 life! A classic and aesthetic combo for the locality, this was #12,169 in Kay's collection.
