Pyromorphite

Item Description

Choice Pyromorphite specimen from this ancient lead mine that CLOSED in 1894. While the crystals are not as plentiful as on some of the old-time Pyros from Jeannette, the deeper green color and excellent luster on these 2-3 mm hexagonal crystals makes this piece definitely stand out. The arrangement of crystals in lines is distinctive, and being able to appreciate individual, barrel-shaped Pyros adds greatly to the aesthetics and appeal of this small cab. Previously in the collection of Detlef Dederscheck, this was #9376 in Kay's collection.
