Description:Discovered in 1910, Stichtite is a hydrated chromium magnesium carbonate formed from altered, chromium-bearing Serpentine.A fine example from the TYPE LOCALITY. The rich lavendar color of the Stichtite is enhanced by its exceptional luster, and the color contrast with the green Serpentine is highly aesthetic. Rare, rich and showy, this was #1129 in Kay's collection.
