Item Description

Mined before 1939, this fine Azurite is quite rare, and of historical value. Likely from the Ludwig-Vereinigt Feld Mine, the color of the Azurites is rich, and the luster varies from good to excellent. There are two main pockets populated by crystals up to severall mm, and the definiton of the crystals is good. The overall aesthetics of the Azurites themselves is quite appealing, and so is the color variation across this small cab. Formally in the collections of Count Franz Graf Matuschka, Schoulch (?), and Vogtl (?), this was #8070 in Kay's collection.
