Tourmaline

Item Description

An unusual group of prismatic Tourmaline crystals which might appear to be black, but with backlighting they reveal a dark green to blue-green hue in the center. Most of the crystal does not pass light, but the gemmy section in the center not only shows a mix of green and blue-green tones, but there almost appears to a "phantom"-esque crystal with a bit of a "cat's eye" quality floating inside. Very strange in a Tourmaline as "phantom" crystals are not very common. This is older material and rarely seen on the market today. Weight on the specimen is 16.67 grams.
