Item Description

Beryl is known in a wide range of colors, but Aquamarines are among the most popular Beryls on the market. Here we have a fantastic Aquamarine that was cut from a piece of rough found in Mozambique in 2007. It has a fantastic "icy blue" tone which combined with nearly eye clean clarity makes it all the more alluring. It's over 3 carats, so it would look wonderful set a ring or a pendant, or left alone to add to your gemstone collection. The best part of the gem is that it has a "Quantum Square Brilliant" cut, which means there are concave facets on the pavillion (underside) of the gem which creates a lot more light return than what one would see from traditional cutting. You don't see a lot of this kind of faceting on Beryls and it really elevates a good stone to a great stone. This stone was priced at $323.00 in the inventory, so it's a great bargain for the low $100 starting bid.
