Item Description

A wonderful cabinet sized display specimen featuring hundreds of gemmy golden yellow crystals of cubic Fluorite that are capped by semi-radial groups of gentle off-white colored, gemmy, bladed Barite which are studded by lovely "saddle"-shaped crystals of cream colored Dolomite on host rock matrix. The specimen is in great shape overall, and displays beautifully as you can see. Only a slight amount of roughness on one side where it was removed from the pocket wall. The Fluorite crystals are so gemmy and they were difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. The largest Fluorite measures 5 mm on edge and the largest Dolomite measures 6 mm across. If you look closely, you can see small spherical inclusions of golden metallic Marcasite inside of the Fluorite cubes! A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. Valued at $850.
