Item Description

A really attractive and showy specimen of shimmering, velvety, deep blue-green Wavellite botryoids from the famous de Linde Pits of Arkansas. There are many fine quality, COMPLETE unbroken spheres of Wavellite which fortunately formed on the concave part of the pocket so they weren't pressed against the other side and broken upon removal. A few spots on the piece show that it is not completely damage free, and despite some roughness around the periphery, the piece is remarkably complete on the display side with great form. Rarely does one see so many individual "balls" packed into a specimen like this, especially with this many complete spheres. Classic material, and certainly some of the most beloved Wavellite in the world for color. Valued at $1,200 for the coverage of mostly undamaged spheres. The best of this material is the finest color Wavellite extant!
