Item Description

A very fine old-time Central Mine Copper specimen. The piece a hefty, stout, large "hand"-sized piece filled with sharp, well-formed, defined, modified isometric crystals showing predominantly dodecahedral with some octahedral and trisoctahedral faces. The crystals have a fine patina complemented by the beautiful blue-green Malachite and minor Quartz. The main group of crystals is beautifully offset by the arborescent / "tree like" growths flaring off of the top. The largest individual crystal measusres 3.2 cm, which is very good sized for the material in my experience. This is a big, dramatic, impactful display specimen of what is arguably the most famous crystallized Copper in the world. Valued at $3,000 for the size, quality, crystallization and aesthetics. PLEASE NOTE: This specimen is heavy, weighing in at 1,617 grams (roughly 3.5 pounds) and will require an additional shipping charge to please keep this in mind when bidding or feel free to contact us ahead of time.
