Item Description

A wonderful large cabinet display specimen featuring HIGHLY splendent, metallic, silvery colored Galena which has formed complex, flattened "Spinel-law" twins free of matrix. The larest Galena measures 5.8m as best I can tell, but it's hard to isolated individual crystals. Interestingly many of the Galenas have brilliant striations and actually show "cathedral" faces, not unlike those I have seen on Pyrite from Leadville, Colorado! Great quality all the way around, and BETTER IN PERSON than the photos indicate! You really have to hold this one in your hands to truly appreciate it. Valued in the inventory at $2,000 for the size, quality, uniqueness of the crystals and sheer visual beaty. PLEASE NOTE: This specimen is heavy, weighing in at 2,447 grams (roughly 5.5 pounds) and will require an additional shipping charge to please keep this in mind when bidding or feel free to contact us ahead of time.
