Item Description

Very fine specimen of the rare silver species, Bromian Chlorargyrite, from the world famous Broken Hill mines in Australia. Originally called Embolite, these Chlorargyrites have a coral-like habit and an excellent adamantine luster with a golden color. The largest Chlorargyrite is slightly over 2 cm, and there are numerous of these crystalline masses spread around the stalactitic Coronadite. This is an excellent, unusual, and aesthetic combination piece, out of the Kay Robertson collection. These are old speicmens, from the turn of the 1900s or earlier. Seldom found in such size, this is an important display quality specimen. valued $2000
