Wulfenite and Mimetite

Good windowpane Wulfenites, with Mimetite, from the San Francisco Mine are classics of the mineral world. This excellent specimen is no exception, with a single, dominating 1.9 cm crystal that is absolutely gem clear. The color is a beautiful golden-orange, and the edges are perfectly beveled. This style was found a few times in the early to middle 1970's, only. Compared to many Wulfenites, the little bit of edgewear on this piece is minor. There are numerous smaller Wulfenites, and they are richly decorated with numerous mm-size balls of orange Mimetite. This is exactly the association, and exactly the quality, that you want in a San Francisco Wulfenite for your collection. An excellent miniature from a world-famous locality, this definitely has a WOW! factor. NOTE: while it can be mailed, we would really recommend hand delivery at a future show and prefer not to mail it through post. This is a stunning, jewel-like specimen of the classic style, and valued $2000-ish, quite fairly.
