A wonderful, large sharp, lustrous, black group of stacked Sphalerite crytals free of matrix from Dal'negorsk. This locality is world-famous for producing some astounding sulfide specimens which started hitting the market around 25 years ago. It is difficult to isolated individual crystals on the specimen, but you can see how they are intergrown to form large composite groups. A very impressive, hefty display specimen of excellent quality and form. No real damage I can see with the naked eye, save the base where it was removed from the pocket wall. PLEASE NOTE: This specimen weighs 1.5 kilos (3.3 pounds), and it will require an additional shipping charge, so please keep this in mind when bidding.
