Item Description

When I first saw this material, I thought that that they were some of the most impressive, flashy and colorful specimens of Gypsum I had seen in years. This specimen consists of a "ball" of excellent, razor-sharp, golden-brown color, crystals of Gypsum which play host to GEM quality, soft golden-yellow color "fish-tail" twins measuring up to a full 5.3 cm aesthetically flaring out in all directions. This complete "floater" specimen formed in a calcium clay/sediment and has no point of attachment whatsoever. Both the color and form are very attractive for the species. The material is typically very fluorescent as well ! Another important aspect of this specimen is that it is NOT repaired, which makes a difference with this material, as many were glued back together. Don't miss out on what I'm sure will be considered a Canadian "classic" in years to come. Valued at $3,000 in the inventory for size, form, aesthetics and superior quality.
