Item Description

Utterly SUPERB Hemimorphite specimen from the La Bocona mine in Durango, Mexico - from finds in the 1960s or maybe earlier. The sky blue, botryoidal Hemimorphite, which is lustrous beyond what the pics can portray, completely fills the vug and covers the knob along the back. The botryoids are extremely well-formed and textural, and there are several dozen 1-2 mm, gemmy Hemimorphite crystals that represent the second generation of growth. It would be very accurate to say that this is one of the finest Hemimorphites I have seen from this mine, if not that area. And it is much better in person, even! from the collection of Dr Miguel Romero, the most widely appreciated and known Mexican collector probably ever..valued $4000-5000 for locality, size, aesthetics.
