Item Description

An incredibly aesthetic and beautifully formed specimen featuring a few highly lustrous, soft golden color, metallic cubes of Pyrite measuring up to 5 mm sitting on a stacked lilac color cubic Fluorite perched atop a greenish-blue colored, prismatic, multi-crystal group of Quartz. The Quartz crystals have a semi-frosted appearance, with an almost directional luster, and compares favorably to a tree in the snow. A very eye-catching specimen, and you couldn't ask for better aesthetics. Ex Dr. Steven Smale Collection. Along with amassing one of the finest private mineral collections in the world, Steve is a renowned mathematician. His accomplishments include being awarded the Fields Medal in 1966 along with being the awarded the Wolf Prize in mathematics in 2007.
