The specimens from the Blackbird Mine are some of the best Ludlamites outside of places like Santa Eulalia, Mexico and Huanuni, Bolivia This thumbnail specimen plays host to several eye-catching, good quality, sharp, lustrous, fine green color, gemmy / translucent "coffin"-shaped crystals of Ludlamite measuring up to 1.0 cm assocaited with dark inky blue colored Vivianite crytals on Quartz on matrix. Blackbird Ludlamites are the best of the species from the USA, and certainly highly sought after on the market since the majority of the best specimens were mined about 50 years ago.
