Item Description

This is a great contemporary display piece from the famous Smoky Hawk Mine featuring good quality, sharp, well-formed, prismatic crystals of richly colored blue green Amazonite measuring up to 1.6 cm which are associated attractively contrasting crystals scattered around the specimen. The largest Smoky on the piece measures 4.5 cm, and it beautifully envelops the Amazonite crystals on the back of the specimen. This classic combination of the beautiful Amazonite against the Smoky Quartz is classic Colorado. No damage that I can see save the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. I don't see any repairs, and nothing on the labels indicates that is has been repaired, so I think it's safe to say this one is solid. The piece comes with a free custom lucite display base. From the worldwide mineral collection of Michael Garced. Valued at $2,000 retail.
