Item Description
Several very fine quality, sharp, rather lustrous, prismatic crystals of Vesuvianite are intergrown to create a showy thumbnail display specimen from the Jeffrey Mine. The Vesuvianites measure up to 1.2 cm long and show a lovely yellow-green hue throughout the prisms which is accentuated by lovely purple tones on the terminations. I can't really see any damage of note on the display side, and the crytals really look wonderful up close. The combination of the two colors is iconic and unique for Vesuvianite as far as I know. Sadly, thsmine is completely closed down and will never produce these specimens again. From the worldwide mineral collection of Michael Garced.
