Item Description

This piece is from the OLD material (circa 1975), which made Choix one of the iconic localities for Smithsonite in the world. This mine is well known for its colorful and bright display specimens, ranging in color from pink to purple to blue to green. This piece features brilliant fuschia-pink color spherical aggregates of Smithsonite with a very attractive vitreous luster on matrix. A very nice Smithsonite from this classic Mexican locale. The piece is glued to the lucite base, so we didn't try to remove it. Classic material from Choix, top color and very desirable on the market. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #1636).
