Item Description

Moderately lustrous sub-metallic bornite coats large complex pyrite cuboctahedrons, that are dramatically laid out on a line on the large dickite clay-coated porphyry matrix. The coated crystals reach 2.5 cm and the patch of bright pyrite crystals is a nice accent. The sulfide zone of this famous mine, renowned for world-class azurite and malachite specimens, has recently given up small numbers of these sharp and unusual combination crystals. A striking and rich large specimen from the find.
