Item Description
Diopside is not often seen in good gem material. This three piece set features a cool crystallized specimen of deep forest green Diopside with sharp lustrous prism faces and small spiked terminations. This piece is from a locality in Pakistan called Shuut Nala, above Hanuchal. The faceted gem in the parcel is from Madagascar and is a really a beautiful stone with a gorgeous green hue, an "Oval Brilliant" cut and nearly eye clean clarity. Lastly we have a good quality cat's eye "Oval" cabochon cut gem from Sri Lanka with a silvery green overtone and a fairly sharp "eye" that can be see with a strong singular light. Diopside is not commonly assembled into rough and cut sets.
