Item Description
The best known specimens of Chiolite are those from Ivigtut, Greenland, but they're very rarely gem quality. This rare sodium aluminum halide is only found in a handful of worldwide localities, and to the best of my knowledge, the only gem material is from Greenland. The colorless "Freeform" gem in this set is a good overall representation of facet grade Chiolite, and the accompanying piece of white opaque rough is a typical piece of Chiolite from this famous locality. The set is valued at $700 retail.
